Wales is on the verge of making it to its first World Cup in 63 years following a 1:1 draw with Belgium on Tuesday evening in Europe World Cup qualifiers.
At the Cardiff City Stadium, host Wales battle its way to history. Kevin De Bruyne with a sublime finish put Belgium ahead 12 minutes in the first half but Kieffer Moore was up to the task 20 minute later to make it a score even on the night.
Since 1958 Wales have failed to make it to the World Cup, after the draw with Belgium, Rob Page couldn’t hold back his tears of joy.
Wales will hope for a win in the playoffs next year in March as they look close to achieving a long time success.
At least Wales can boast of avoiding European champions like Italy and Portugal in the playoffs which the draws are set to be held on November 26 in Zurich, Switzerland.
In 1958, Wales qualified for its first and only World Cup and got to the quarter-finals before loading to eventual Champions Brazil.
