Public schools in Kaduna State has been directed to be open for Four days a week instead of the regular Monday to Friday culture.
This is according to the State government who gave the order in effect to second term resumption in the state.
The state commissioner for education, Halima Lawal disclosed this in a notice on behalf of the Goverment.
Lawal, noted that the 2021/2022 academic calendar would be adjusted to ensure coverage of the curriculum for the academic session.
Some weeks ago the State government ordered that all civil servants in the state work four days a week a move Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s spokesman, Muyiwa Adekeye, said is to help boost productivity, improve work-life balance, and enable workers to have more time for their families, for rest, and for agriculture.
Over 200 School Children have been kidnapped in Kaduna in year 2021. While many were later released after spending months in custody of their abductors some are still yet to be found.
Last year in July about 121 Students of Bethel Baptist High School in Kaduna was Kidnapped to an unknown destination.
Parents have called for more security measures to be put in place before allowing children return to school
The State government have ordered more patrol accros the state as well as urged security Operatives to tighten measures in safe guarding the state especially a time where the Federal Goverment have already declared bandits as terrorists in the state.
