Taraba State Kidnapped Victims Regains Freedom

The families of travellers who were abducted along the  Jamptari-Gayam Express way in Taraba State will surely be delighted as their loved ones have finally regained their freedom after eight days in custody of Kidnappers .
Some of the families have took to social media to show gratitude to God for safety while appreciating the fact that the Victims were not killed by their abductors.
Reports indicates that the victims were released in the early hours of Wednesday.
It was also learnt that Six of the victims are family members of the former Secretary to the Taraba State Government, Gibon Timothy Kataps.
Gibon in a statement said,
“On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, My family was attacked on their way to Jalingo. My wife and other members of the family were lucky to escape.
“I requested for fervent prayers from friends and loved ones since Prayers remain the best weapon to freedom. Today, 12 January 2022, at about 3am, after eight agonising and traumatic days in captivity.
He didn’t clearly state if a ransom were paid for their release but indicated that the family members freedom came about  following a  “negotiated release”
“The Almighty God, who is the way maker, miracle worker and light in the darkness has again answered the numerous prayers of the faithful and delivered them from captivity and are home, following a negotiated release, and have commenced the necessary medical examinations and trauma therapy. I solicit your prayers and understanding in this regard.”
Reports further revealed that a victim is still in the hands of the abductors.
