China has rolled out an education law that looks to reduce school children of too much homework and extra school coaching in the country.
This is according to an educational law passed by the state National People’s Congress Standing Committee, the country’s permanent legislative body.
There is yet to be an explicit statement on the intent of the new law, but close sources gave basis as, it’s aimed at reducing children school homework overload.
Parents are being told to allow their children have adequate rest, regular exercise and not allow children spend too much time online.
Some months ago written exams was banned for children below age Seven, indicating that children’s mental health could be disturb with too much and excessive work.
Report suggests that the Local government will be responsible for implementation, such as providing funding for “enriching extra-curricular activities”.
