World richest club Newcastle has finally relieved Steve Bruce of his position as head coach on Wednesday as the club look in Paulo Fonseca direction as a replacement.
It was reported that Bruce will be sacked last week following the takeover by the new Saudi owners.
Fans seem to have grown tired of the 60-year-old with Bruce alledging that he was called “a fat waste of space” and “a stupid, inept cabbage head.” by some fans in Newcastle 3:2 lost to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The new owners disclosed that Steve Bruce’s sacked was on “mutual consent”
Steve react to his sack while speaking to the telegraph:
“It has been very, very tough. To never really be wanted, to feel that people wanted me to fail and saying I would fail, that I was useless, a fat waste of space, a tactically inept cabbage head.”
The club is yet to announce it, new manager, as Paulo Fonseca is the leading contender. Gerrard and Frank Lampard is also a possibility.
The Magpies will hope to compete for a couple of big players in the transfer window in other to improve the squad.
Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona is a high possibility for Newcastle with the player yet to sign a new contract for the Catalans giant as his contract come to an end in the summer.
