Former President Goodluck Jonathan is now eligible to run in the 2023 presidential election, according to the Federal High Court in Yenagoa.
Justice Isa Hamma Dashen, the presiding judge, issued the decision on Friday.
He also ruled that no retroactive law could prevent Jonathan from running for president again.
The decision comes just hours after the All Progressives Congress (APC) reportedly granted the former president a waiver to participate in the party’s presidential primary on Sunday.
