Mr Lawal stated that a total of 1,011 votes were cast, with 975 valid votes and 36 invalid votes. He stated that Mr Ribadu received 288 votes, Mr Bindow received 103 votes, Mr Namdas received 94 votes, and Wafarninyi Theman received 21 votes.
“With the authority granted to me as Chief Returning Officer for this election, I hereby declare Aishatu Ahmad Binani the election winner.” “She is the APC’s official candidate for governor,” Mr Lawal stated. Mrs Ahmad, who represents Adamawa Central Senatorial District, expressed gratitude to the delegates in her acceptance speech.
She urged other candidates to join forces in order for the party to win the state and federal elections in 2023. “I call on all of us to ensure our party’s victory and the formation of our own government,” she said. Mrs. Ahmad also praised the electoral panel for the transparent election and the trust placed in them.
