The Super Eagles of Nigeria bounced back from a first-leg loss to outshine the Central African Republic (CAR) with a 2:0 win in Morocco on Sunday.
CAR had a shocking 1:0 win over Nigeria in Lagos on Thursday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium when they score a late goal to inflict Gernot Rohr men.
However, the Eagles have shown their supremacy over CAR as Leon Balogun opened the scoring in the 29th minute while Victor Osimhen doubled it before the half-hour mark.
The two goals in the first half were enough to give Nigeria the three points and maintain their spot at the top of the Group C table on nine points.
Comfortably, the Super Eagles move closer to a playoff round for Qatar 2022.
Gernot Rohr and his men will turn their attention next to the game against Liberia and they will hope to extend their win.
