Mohamed Salah continues his outstanding performances to ensure Liverpool have a 3:2 win over Atletico Madrid in matchday three of the UEFA champions league on Tuesday.
Like a lion trying to hunt down an elephant, the fight for the three-point was on until the last sound of the whistle.
Superb Salah started the party for Liverpool on the 8min with a lovely swave into the Atletico Madrid defence as he struck lowly to earn the Reds the opener.
Not long after Keita doubled Liverpool’s lead before Griezman pulled all two back as Diego Simeone’s men levelled 2:2 going into halftime.
Griezman got sent off in the 52 minutes following his high foot on Firminho.
Atletico kept pushing forward despite a man down as Liverpool also try to leverage on the Colchoneros weak positions.
Meanwhile, Salah got the winner and his second goal of the night from the penalty spot to ensure Liverpool extend their unbeaten run in the champions league having all maximum 9point sitting top of group B.
Atletico is second on four-point the same as FC Porto.
Liverpool turns their attention to their next fixture against Manchester United in the Premier League as Salah will hope to keep making the difference for the Anfield men.
