On Tuesday, President Muhammadu Buhari honored numerous individuals, including Access Holding co. CEO Herbert Wigwe, businessman and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, and others, for their significant contributions to Nigeria.

Over 400 locals and foreigners, including kings, ex-ministers, icons, and the senate president, were honored at the award investiture, which took place at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

President Buhari awarded the CFR title to Tony Elumelu, who also holds the MON and CON titles, and the CON title to Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Holdings Co.

Other notable Nigerians include Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (CON), Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku (CON), and business tycoon Kessington Adebutu (CFR).

They include the former president of the Nigerian Bar Association Wole Olanipekun (CFR), Emir of Kano Aminu Bayero (CFR), and Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola (CON).

There were a total of 6 conferrals of the Grand Commander’s Order of the Niger, 55 conferrals of the Commander’s Order of the Federal Republic, 65 conferrals of the Commander’s Order of the Niger, 77 conferrals of the Officer’s Order of the Federal Republic, 110 conferrals of the Officer’s Order of the Niger, 74 conferrals of the Member’s Order of the Federal Republic, and 55 conferrals of the Member’s Order of the Niger (MON).
