Raheem Sterling Wins Player Of The Month, As Guardiola Bags 11th Manager Of The Month Award

Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling has been named premier league player of the Month for December.

The England international scored five goals and an assist in five appearances last month.

Sterling, 27, played the full 90 minutes in five of City’s seven league fixtures last month, and has been in fine form since he settled the disagreement between him and Pep Guardiola.

The English star was so impressive and instrumental to City ten point gap on the league table.

He will hope to replicate such form again when City face Chelsea at the Ethihad Stadium for another test to remain top on Saturday at 1:30pm.

This is the third time Sterling will snatch player of the much award after he won it In August 2016 and November 2018.

He has so far won three Premier league title with City.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola also won the Manager of the month award for December for his superb tactics that help the team record tremendous success last month.

Guardiola had also claimed the award for November, which in total has 11 Manager of the award to his name.

Guardiola led City to a 100 per cent Premier League record last month, winning all seven of their domestic matches to open up an eight-point lead at the top of the table.
