On Thursday, former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo met with Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, and Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State.
There may be a connection between the meeting and the upcoming general election in 2023, however facts are still vague at best.
Wike was joined at the conference by several of his loyalists, including the governors of Oyo, Benue, and Abia as well as the former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke.
Later today, Wike will meet with Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, in London.
