One of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi’s wives, Olori Kafayat, died not long after her husband, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, passed away.
Olori Kafayat, the mother of Prince Adebayo Adeyemi, better known as D’Guv, died on Friday night, according to a report in Nigeria.
At the time of this report, the Alaafin Palace’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Bode Durojaye, verified to our correspondent on Saturday morning that she had died.
“She died in the United States of America,” he said. The specifics will be provided to you at a later time.”
After a brief illness, Oba Adeyemi passed away on Friday, April 22nd, at the age of 83, at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti.
After the death of Oba Adeyemi, Oyo has not had any Alaafin.
