Nigeria To Rotate Squad, While Ahmed Musa Promises Nigerians The AFCON

With the last round of games yet to be played in the ongoing  African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, the tournament has begun to separate the men from the boys as some teams have secured qualification to the next round while some can only play for the records.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles who have qualified for the last 16 have been thicker by many to bring back home the throphy.
With the performance so far, it may be realistic to give a chance to Nigeria to go all out for victory.
However, interim coach Austine Eguavon has said he will file out fresh legs who have not feature in the tournament for the last group game against Guinea Bissau on Wednesday.
Eguavon, revealed that he will try out new players in order to give chance for other talents and a way to rest  those that have already made the nation proud.
So far, 14 out of the 27-man squad has feature for Nigeria against Egypt and Sudan respectively.
A draw for Nigeria against Guinea Bissau will see the Super Eagles finish top in  group D while Sudan will be tasked to beat Egypt if they want to play in the last 16.
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is optimistic the team will bring the trophy  home while promising to make Nigerians proud.
He emphasized that the team  cannot afford to fail the country.
Away from the Super Eagles, one of the surprise action so far this tournament is Algeria’s who is on the verge of elimination after a shock 1:0 loss to Equitorial Guinea.
Algeria, the defending champion of the tournament was unable to replicate their fine form that gave them the trophy in 2019.
