Nff Has Sacked Gernot Rohr.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has parted ways with Super Eagles head Coach, Gernot Rohr and has appointed former Super Eagles player Augustine Eguavoen with immediate effect on an interim.
Rohr contract was terminated after a virtual meeting of the NFF executive committee on Sunday as to resolve the recent calls for the sacking of the German.
NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi said:“The relationship between the Nigeria Football Federation and Mr Rohr has come to an end. We thank him for his services to the Super Eagles and Nigeria.
“We also want to thank the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports for their collaboration and guidance all through”, he added.
Gernot Rohr is Super Eagles longest-serving manager after lasting in the Nigeria dougout for up 64 months.
The NFF also decided that Eguavoen will work with Salisu Yusuf (Chief Coach); Paul Aigbogun (Assistant Coach); Joseph Yobo (Assistant Coach); Dr Terry Eguaoje (Assistant Coach) and Aloysius Agu (Goalkeeper Trainer).
Also, Former Nigeria captains Augustine ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu and Garba Lawal have been appointed to provide technical and ambassadorial support for the team.
As Nigeria prepare for the Nations Cup in Cameroon, Eguavoen will be in charge of the team from the sidelines for the first time. He was a captain of the team when Nigeria won the Nations Cup in Tunisia 1994.
The Nations Cup is set to kick off in Cameroon 9th  January – 6th February 2022.
