After selling off Newcastle United for £305million on Thursday to Saudi owners, former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is reportedly interested in buying Derby County.
Derby County entered administration earlier this season and need a new buyer.
Like Barcelona, Derby County entered some financial difficulties that any new buyer will need to pay off some debt before taking over.
Mike Ashley had 14- years of controversial reign in Newcastle but now looking to buy the second-tier side of the English league with some money gotten from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
Derby County is below the table after the federation decided to give them a 12point deduction.
They will hope to get a new buyer in order to turn things around.
