Roots TV Chief Executive Officer Dumebi Kachikwu was victorious against Kingsley Moghalu in the race for the presidential nomination of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In comparison, Mr. Kachikwu received 977 votes, while Mr. Moghalu received 589 votes. At the primary election held in Abeokuta on Wednesday night, Chukwuka Monye received 339 votes, placing him in third place.
Ibe Kachikwu, a former minister, is the older brother of Mr. Kachikwu, who is Ibe’s younger brother.

After a leadership problem in his previous party, Moghalu, who stood for president in 2019 under the platform of the Young Democratic Party (YDP), defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He was widely regarded as the front-runner to win the ADC nomination, but he ultimately came up short against Dumebi in an election that other hopefuls claim was swayed by financial considerations.

“Despite the fact that we were unsuccessful, I want to thank Professor Moghalu and the other credible aspirants for putting up a valiant battle. The battle to pull this country back from the brink of catastrophe is still being fought…. “Monye is dedicated to this endeavor,” Mr. Monye declared. We will let you know who we are going to support.

Mr. Moghalu, an economist and a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, was quoted as saying that he was ready to retire Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu and put Nigeria on the path to economic prosperity.
