According to his brother’s social media posts, Atlanta rapper Lil Keed, a member of Young Thug’s YSL record label, died at the age of 24.

It was not immediately known how the rapper died.

“Can’t believe I saw u die today bro I did all my crying I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy,” his brother Lil Gotit, an Atlanta rapper linked with YSL but not signed to the label, said on Instagram.

Lil Keed’s baby daughter is Naychur.

Lil Gotit said in an Instagram story, tagging his brother’s account, “Whyy bra whyyy u left me bra.”
Lil Keed was scheduled to play in Charlotte on Saturday, according to an Instagram story that is still up on his account.

According to his YSL Records bio, Lil Keed debuted in 2018 with the mix tape “Trapped on Cleveland 2,” and has since released two full-length albums, “Long Live Mexico” in 2019 and “Trapped on Cleveland 3” in 2020.

According to his record label description, he was a rapper with a “gift for hypnotizing melodies and unpredictable flows.”

Several of his tracks have received millions of views on YouTube, including “Nameless,” which received more than 33 million views in 2018, “Snake,” which received more than 12 million, and “Fetish (Remix),” which featured Young Thug and received more than 10 million.

He allegedly tweeted a defense of the YSL – Young Stoner Life – label earlier this week, following a RICO indictment in Fulton County against a number of its artists, including founder Young Thug, alleging involvement with the Young Slime Life criminal gang.

According to Lil Keed’s article, the YSL label is “not a gang, a criminal organization, or a mob,” but rather a “family, a label, and a way of life.”
