AFCON: Nigeria Secure Round 16 spot, Morroco, Cameroon All Scale Through.

Super Eagles of Nigeria have secured a spot in the next round of the ongoing 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) following a convincing 3:1 win over Sudan on Saturday.
Samuel Chukwueze scored early with three minute on the clock before Taiwo Awoniyi doubled it before half time as the Eagles boast of a perfect start coming from a tremendous 1:0 Victory over Egypt in their opening encounter.
Moses Simon scored the third goal in the 46th minute while Sudan grabbed a mere consolation goal from the spot kick following a reckless foul by Nigeria’s Aina in the box.
The win put Nigeria top of group D with six points.
Nigeria join host Cameroon who had already secure next round ticket after running riot over Ethiopia with a 4:1 Victory.
Cameron has scored more goals in this tournament with Captain Abubakar toping the highest goal scorer chart with four goals.
Meanwhile, Morroco also had earn next round ticket after defeating Comoros 2:0 on Friday.
Liverpool striker Mohammed Salah bought an important three point for Egypt after he scored the only goal against Guinea Bissau in the 69th minutes.
Egypt are second in group with three points to boast off while they hope to finish business when they come head to head with Sudan on match day three of the AFCON.
