Gunmen believed to be bandits have reportedly shot dead a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Rilwanu Aminu Gadagau, who was representing the Giwa West Constituency.
His death was confirmed by a former Kaduna State Senator, Shehu Sani via his Twitter handle on Wednesday.
The Senator had earlier tweeted that prayers should be done on behalf of a member of the state house.
“Pray for a member of Kaduna State House of Assembly”, Shehu twitted.
A subsequent tweet stated: “A member of Kaduna State House of Assembly Hon Rilwanu Aminu Gadagau from Giwa LG is reportedly shot and killed by bandits on his way to Kaduna. A tragedy a day.Inna lillahi wainna Illayhir rajiun.”
The State Police Command is yet to make a comment on the victims death as at the time of filling this report.

Some days ago it was reported that a yet to be identified number of travellers were abducted by some bandits while some others were shot dead along the Kaduna-Zaria Road in Kaduna State.
The attack occurred at Kofar Gayan on the outskirt of Zaria.
It was said that the bandits struck around 8pm, shooting sporadically at vehicles in order to immobilise them and abduct the passengers.
In a bid to curtail Kidnapping in the some of the Northern states, the State governments shut down it telecommutation services in some area of the States in order to destabilize bandits from using telecommutation to mobilize themselves.
