David Ukpo, who is said to have donated a kidney to the daughter of Ike and Beatrice Ekweremadu, has been deemed an adult by a magistrate court in Westminster, which is located in the United Kingdom.
The decision was handed down by the judge on Thursday, while Ekweremadu, who had previously served as vice president of the Senate, and Beatrice, who was married to him, were standing trial.
Both the senator who represents Enugu west and his wife are being investigated for possible involvement in a conspiracy to facilitate or arrange the journey of another individual for the purpose of exploiting them, namely for organ harvesting.
