30 of The Kidnapped FGC Students In Birnin Yauri Regains Freedom

Finally, after four months Thirty students Kidnapped by suspected bandits from the Federal Government College, In Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State has been released.
The students regained their freedom after spending not less than four months in the hands of the abductors.
In an official statement released on Thursday by the Special Adviser on Media to the state Governor, Mr Yahaya Sarki, said that while 30 students have been released, search is still on for the remaining students in custody of the kidnappers.
The exact number of students Kidnapped from the school was not specified but Yahaya indicated that they are still more innocent students yet to regain their freedom.
“Today Thursday, the 21st of October 2021, thirty (30) students of the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri have arrived Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital following their release while efforts are still continuing to secure the release of the remaining,” Yahaya said.
He added that,
“They shall undergo medical screening and support while being reunited with their families. We thank all those who have helped in securing the release, while congratulating Mr President, Muhammadu Buhari, for the success.”
Recall that on June 17 it was reported that some group of armed men stormed the school and Kidnapped an unspecified number of students including four teachers.
