About 30 passengers have been kidnapped by gunmen at Garin Gabas Niger State on Wednesday.
Reports have it that the passengers were Kidnapped from a commercial bus and two other vehicles when the gunmen blocked the road and began to shoot sporadically to scare away the travellers.
The kidnappers are suspected to be bandits who invaded the Zungeru Garin Gabas road whisking away the passengers after much shooting in the area.
The state police are yet to give an official statement regarding the Kidnap as the destination of the victims is still unknown.
This is one of the many reports of kidnap cases in Niger a state in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria and the largest state in the country.
School children and young adults have been the most vulnerable to this illicit act as there are still some innocent citizens in the hands of kidnappers.
Particularly, the Northern states have recorded the most kidnap, robbery and killings in the country.
Despite the deployment of more security personnel in the most affected region of the country with Kidnap cases, it’s like kidnapping is not reducing anytime soon.
