The private school where Hanifa Abubakar was killed and buried have been set ablaze by a group of angry youths in the community.
Hanifa Abubakar, a five-year-old student was reportedly Kidnapped by her teacher who later killed her after collecting a ransom of six million naira from her parents.
The school, located at Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa, Kano State was burnt down in the early hours of Monday after some angry Youths stormed the school premises.
The State government had ordered a closure of the school premises after the news of the young girl broke out in the news.
Narrating how the incident happened, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kano, Haruna Kiyawa, said one Mr Abdulmalik Tanko confessed that he kidnapped the girl and took her to his house where he contacted her relatives and demanded a ransom of N6 million.
Going further he explained that the teacher conspired with one Hashim Isyaku to kill the lad on December 18, 2021 after the teacher noticed that she has recognized him.
This lead to burring of the girl in the school premises by her teacher.
However, the state Government noted that it has withdraw the school operational License.
President Muhammadu Buhari has also ordered a thorough investigation into Hanifa’s death stating that her killers must be made to face the full wrath of the law.
