The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, says the anti-graft agency is trying to guarantee that funds used by political candidates to purchase nomination forms ahead of the 2023 elections are legal.
When he appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, the EFCC chief revealed this.
“When it comes to election funds and candidate funds, that is the work of INEC in this regard,” he said. “Of course, we are working hand in glove with INEC and other related agencies in that field to ensure that we follow the money, know the source, and whether it is legitimate or illegitimate because that is what concerns us.” he said.
