Primoz Roglic, a Slovenian rider, revealed before the start of Sunday’s 15th stage that he was withdrawing from the Tour de France to recuperate from injuries.
“To allow my injuries to recover properly, we have decided that I will not start today,” Roglic announced on the Jumbo-isma team’s Twitter page.
It was during the first week of the tour through France when Roglic, 32, developed shoulder and lower back issues that have kept him out of the Vuelta a Espana since 2011.
