A fresh attack by gunmen on Madami Village Kaduna State has claimed the life of nothing less than 32 people leaving others injured.
Reports revealed that the attack took place on Sunday night.
Houses were reportedly set ablaze and many other sustained varying degrees of injuries.
It was also learnt that Soldiers were swift to repel the attack in which the gunmen when overpowered, withdrew.
Governor of Kaduna State Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has condemned the attack in which he describes it as an unspeakable display of wickedness, meriting the severest form of punishment.
The governor assured that the Kaduna State Government will bear the cost of injured victims’ treatment.
He then ordered the State Emergency Management Agency, to conduct assessment of the village in order to provide support for affected families.
El-Rufai also implored the security agencies to conduct investigations in order to fish out the perpetrators.
