Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has issued an apology to the club and fans over his initial statement that he’s not happy at the club and that he eye a return to Inter Milan soon.
Meanwhile, in a recent video posted by the club saw Lukaku apologized to fans and promise to restore trust of fans with his on-field performances.
According to reports Lukaku will be fined at least a week’s wages for giving unauthorised interview.
Lukaku was dropped out of Chelsea squad that faced Liverpool on Sunday. Thomas Tuchel in an interview yesterday said the Belgian “should have known better” before delivering such an interview, while stating that the club have reached a resolution with the striker.
Chelsea coughed out £97.5million in the summer to secure the signature of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan. He has so far scored five goals in the premier league this season and recorded two in the UEFA Champions League.
