An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 hit western Mexico on Monday, rocking buildings in Mexico City on the anniversary of two large tremors in 1985 and 2017.

The national seismological office reported that the earthquake’s epicenter was 59 kilometers (37 miles) south of Coalcoman in the state of Michoacan on the Pacific coast.
