Tyson Fury, a British boxing champion, says his cousin was murdered by a knife attack on Sunday, prompting him to demand action from the government of the United Kingdom regarding the rising tide of knife violence there.
It’s getting crazy that idiots carry knives now, Fury stated on social media after learning that a knife attack had murdered his cousin. “This epidemic must be stopped immediately, and the government of the United Kingdom must implement stricter penalties for knife crimes. Life is short, so savour every moment of it. Rest in peace, Rico Burton; may the Lord reward you with a beautiful eternity. Only cowards carry weapons, so I’ll see you soon.”
As London’s mayor puts it, “victims of knife crime in London are stitching themselves back together.”
The mayor of London claims that victims of knife violence in his city is “sewing themselves up.”
In a news release, police in Manchester, England, named Rico Burton, 31, as the victim of a stabbing and said two males had been arrested in connection with the investigation.
According to the announcement, the stabbing happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday in the Goose Green neighbourhood of Altrincham, which is inside the greater Manchester area.
“We arrived to find two individuals, one aged 17 and the other 31 years old, with stab wounds. Before police and paramedics arrived, bystanders were administering first aid. They both went to the Manchester Royal Infirmary, where the 31-year-old male regrettably later died, ” the press announced.
Police claimed they apprehended a 21-year-old guy at the scene and a 20-year-old male later; both men are still detained.
After today’s tragic events, Greater Manchester Police stated they would enhance patrols in the area and make combating knife crime a top priority. A statement made no mention of Fury’s remarks.

The government of Great Britain has been working on a solution to the country’s knife crime problem for years.
An additional 4,900 knife or sharp object offences were committed in England and Wales between March 2021 and March 2022, representing a 10% increase year over year, according to data released by the government’s Office for National Statistics. There were 55,000 knife crimes reported between March 2019 and March 2020, thus this is still a decrease.
After his April 2018 victory over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in London, Fury announced his retirement from professional boxing.
