On Sunday, Joe Biden was allowed to leave the White House for the first time since July 20, when he tested negative for Covid for the second day in a row.

In the wake of his July 30 return to seclusion due to “rebound” positives from an earlier bout with the illness, Biden, 79, had tested positive for Covid.

At the White House, President Trump told pool reporters, “I’m feeling fantastic,” before getting into a chopper and flying to his beach house in Delaware.

He also expressed confidence in the Senate’s ongoing climate and health care debate, telling reporters, “I think it’s going to pass.”

Obama’s physician, Kevin O’Connor, said in a statement that the president “will safely return to public participation and presidential travel.”

On Monday, Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit the flood-ravaged southern state of Kentucky, according to his official schedule.
