Former US President Donald Trump announced plans to launch “TRUTH Social” media.
“TRUTH Social” according to Trump is a new social media network that will rival current social media platforms.
Trump said TRUTH Social media will “stand up to the tyranny of big tech.”
According to a statement by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the Social media platform will be open to invited guests next month before a “nationwide rollout” within the first three months of 2022.
Trump hinted that he has been frequently asked that “why doesn’t someone stand up to” rival the known Social media platforms.
“Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!” Trump said.
Donald Trump is known to be active on social media. Before he became president of America, social media was his crucial means of communication and campaigning and was efficiently used during his reign in the White House.
The former president had some of his posts deleted on Facebook last year and was also suspended and banned by Twitter which the social media platforms labelled some of his posts as misleading.
Facebook particularly banned him for using its website to make claims of electoral malpractices when Joe Biden was announced, president.
