Cameron Backs His Status After Securing a Ticket to The Indian Wells final

Cameron Norrie has rose to the occasion of his position as British No 1 by defeating former world No 3 Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 6-4 to earn a place in his first ever Masters 1000 final in the Indian Wells.

Norrie, is now set to break into the world’s top 20 for the first time in his career.

After defeating Diego Schwartzman in the quarter finals to emerge British number  No 1 he has yet back up his position by booking a place in the final of the Indian Wells.

As it stands, Norrie is now 11th in the ATP race to Turin and maybe move to  125 points of Hubert Hurkacz, who currently holds the last qualifying berth, if he can beat either Taylor Fritz or Nikoloz Basilashvili in Sunday’s finals.

Cameron who currently is ranked World 26 had never made a Masters 1000 quarter-final but he has now earned a place Sunday’s final.
