The 2022 CAF Awards Women’s Player of the Year is Super Falcons attacker Asisat Oshoala.

The 27-year-old was announced as the winner at a gala night held in Rabat, Morocco, on Thursday.

Oshoala has won the award for the sixth time in a row, outpacing her fellow Nigerian Perpetua Nkwocha.

In 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019, Oshoala was named the finest African female footballer.

The 2022 CAF Awards Men’s Player of the Year award went to Sadio Mane, who beat out Mohamed Salah and Eduard Mendy.

Pape Matar Sarr was named the Male Young Player of the Year (Senegal & Tottenham Hotspur)

(Women’s Sports) Coach of the Year: Desiree Ellis (South Africa)

Aliou Cisse is the male coach of the year (Senegal)

Mamelodi Sundowns is the club of the year for women (South Africa)

Athletic Club of the Year: Wydad Athletic Club, Men’s Division (Morocco)

All-African Team (Women): Senegal

Pape Ousmane Sakho (Senegal/Simba FC) won the Goal of the Year award for the second year in a row.
